Busyness is, as a matter of fact, a powerful hiding tool. We use busyness to quiet our anxious thoughts. Adding to-do lists and new projects to our daily workload artificially postpones difficult decision making deadlines. Marital problems, poor health, disagreements, work conflict, relationship break-ups, and a sea of insecurities, they all can be efficiently yet inappropriately swept under the rug of a busy life.
