*UPDATED: JULY 12, 2020*
Dear Church Family,
Earlier this year, we closed Henderson Highway Church for in-person Sabbath services, due to COVID-19. We anticipated being closed for a short time, but the virus is causing long-term effects on all of our lives.
While COVID-19 is still a present reality, local health authorities and various levels of church leadership have begun reopening processes where possible, including Manitoba. Your health, safety, and well-being continue to be a priority and we want to proceed cautiously with reopening plans.
Though we do not have a date planned, we are exploring the possibility of Henderson Highway Church reopening. We invite you to share your feedback through a survey. Included in the details are an outline for how Sabbath services may look, as well as opportunities for you to help.
Thank you for your consideration and patience. Please continue to pray for each other and for our Church Board.

*UPDATED: MARCH 15, 2020*
Dear Church Family,
Your safety and well-being is a priority. The global reach of COVID-19 has halted much of the world’s activities. Information and updates are happening at a rapid-fire pace. This leads us to be cautious in our operations while continuously monitoring the situation as it pertains to Henderson Highway Church.
In consulting with local health authorities and various levels of church leadership, the Church Board has decided to cancel church (both Sabbath School and Worship services) and will offer livestream only for the following dates:
March 21, 2020
March 28, 2020
April 4, 2020
April 11, 2020
The Church Board is reevaluating the situation on an ongoing basis and will amend this cancellation period as needed.
The livestream will begin at 10:45 am (CST) on Saturday mornings to our YouTube and Facebook pages:
Henderson Highway Church on YouTube
Henderson Highway Church on Facebook
We encourage you to tune in and to share the links with friends. We will use the website, newsletter & social media to keep you informed should changes occur.
There are two options for you to give offerings and return tithe:
Online: https://adventistgiving.ca/#/org/AN6BC6/envelope/start
Or by dropping it in the church mailbox (located near the rear door)
We encourage you to:
–Avoid physical touch with others. Find creative ways to connect, while staying ‘touch-free’. Avoid huddling in confined spaces when visiting.
–Please wash your hands often, according to recommended health guidelines. Take the time to thoroughly scrub your hands for a minimum of 20 seconds, using soap and warm water. Use alcohol-based hand sanitizers (60% alcohol or higher) when soap and water are unavailable. The church will be cleaned and sanitized during this time.
–If you feel unwell in any way, do stay home. We affirm you for making the best decision for the sake of others as well as yourself.
–Please keep in touch with each other via phone, video calls, emails, and text messaging. Many in our church family are lonely and social distancing will make this feeling more pronounced. The weekly church gathering is the only social activity for some people. Please take the time to stay connected.
–Pray! Though life is uncertain and the news is frightening, God is with us. He has promised never to abandon us.

*UPDATED: MARCH 13, 2020*
Dear Church Family,
Your safety and well-being is our main concern. The global reach of COVID-19 has halted much of the world’s activities. Information and updates are happening at a rapid pace. This leads us to be cautious in our operations.
In consulting with local health authorities and various levels of church leadership, the Church Board strongly recommends that you do not attend church services on March 14, 2020. The status of following church services will be monitored by the Church Board in the coming days.
Within the church, we are increasing our standards for cleaning.
We encourage you to:
–Avoid physical touch with others. For now, this facility will be a ‘touch-free’ zone. Avoid huddling in confined spaces when visiting.
–Please wash your hands often, according to recommended health guidelines. Take the time to thoroughly scrub your hands for a minimum of 20 seconds, using soap and warm water. There are also alcohol-based hand sanitizing stations throughout the facility.
–If you feel unwell in any way, do stay home. Though we will miss seeing you for a while, we understand that you are making the best decision for the sake of others as well as yourself. We anticipate that attendance will be lower in the coming weeks.
–Please keep in touch with each other via phone, video calls, emails, and text messaging. Many in our church family are lonely and social distancing will make this feeling more pronounced. The weekly church gathering is the only social activity for some people. Please take the time to stay in touch.
–Pray! Though life is uncertain and the news is frightening, God is with us. He has promised never to abandon us.
During this time, we will continue to livestream the worship services on Saturday mornings. We encourage you to tune in and to share the links with friends. We will use the website, newsletter & social media to keep you informed should changes occur.
