Welcome to Henderson Highway Church. We’re glad you’re here! Below, we’re working to answer a few questions you may have about your first visit to our church.

What to expect when you come.

What time does church start?

We have 2 portions to our Saturday morning services.

There is a Bible study portion that begins at 9:15 am. The adults meet in the main sanctuary, where they break into smaller discussion groups. There are classes for children in the lower level of the church.

The worship service begins at 10:45 am. Everyone will come together for a service that includes music, a story time for young children, prayer and a message from the Pastor.

Can I bring my children?

Yes!

We are a family-friendly church, with a vibrant children’s ministry.

There are a variety of Bible study classes for children newborn to 18 years old. These are located in the lower level of the church. Classes begin at 9:15 am and end at 10:35 am.

Following the study time, children will join us in the sanctuary for the main worship service. We include children as participants in the service and there is a dedicated story time for them.

There is a Parents’ room located just off the foyer, with window access to the sanctuary. This allows parents to assist young children without missing what’s happening in the service.

While families are encouraged to sit wherever they’re comfortable, there is reserved seating for parents of small children in the last 3 rows of the sanctuary.

Is there parking available?

Yes. There is a parking lot behind the building. There are also a few spots on the North side of the building close to the entrance, reserved for people with disabilities.

There is parking available on most streets surrounding the church.
*Please be mindful of the restrictions listed on the street signs.*

Where do I go when I get there?

When you come in, you’ll be welcomed as you come up the stairs. The greeters can assist you in finding a Bible study class or a place to sit. They can also direct you to the various children’s classes on the lower level.

There are washroom facilities just off the main foyer as well as an accessible washroom.

Our Parents’ room is located off the foyer, with access to a change table, private feeding area, and seating. There is a large window allowing you to see what’s happening in the main sanctuary.

What happens after service?

Please don’t feel like you have to rush to leave.

Many use the time after service to visit briefly in both the lower level and the foyer or to remain in the sanctuary for prayer. You can join with a group praying, request prayer with an elder or pray by yourself. An attitude of prayer is expected in the sanctuary at all times. The Pastor stands at the door to greet those who are leaving.

On the second Saturday of each month, there is a fellowship lunch in the hall downstairs. Everyone is welcome to join this potluck-style meal. Regular attendees will bring vegetarian dishes to share with dinner guests.
(*There are no potlucks in July or August.)

How can I get a copy of the message?

Currently, we do not offer our worship services on CD or DVD.

We do stream live online and record our worship services. The sermon will be available for replay on both Facebook and YouTube within a few days following the service.

Follow us on Facebook and YouTube to be notified of when we’re streaming live.
