Pastor Jerry Pinzon

Pastor Jerry Pinzon was born in California into an Adventist Colombian family. As a toddler, his family returned to Colombia where he was raised. At age 9, Jerry was baptized in answer to God’s call on his life. After graduating from high school at age 17, he migrated to the United States where he joined the United States Air Force (USAF) in 2001. During his military career, he climbed the ranks to become Staff Sargent, developing discipline and leadership skills that would later be an asset for ministry.

After 10 years in the USAF, Jerry felt such a powerful call to ministry that he left his military career to enroll in theology at Southwestern Adventist University (SWAU). A few months earlier, he married his beautiful Colombian wife, Yesica. Together, they transitioned from the military to student life, and Yesica’s international move from Colombia to the US.

In 2011, following Jerry’s graduation from SWAU, both Jerry and Yesica served in the Texico Conference in the Gallup, Grants, Pie Town and Reserve district. In 2020, Jerry graduated with a Masters of Divinity degree from the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary.

Jerry and Yesica currently minister to the Albuquerque Heights and Los Ranchos Seventh-day Adventist churches in New Mexico, where they live with their two greatest blessings; 6-year-old Noah and 8-year-old Niah.
