Guest presenters, Drs. David & Beverly Sedlacek, will help us in untangling the knots of past traumas. Learn how to improve and thrive in your marriage and other relationships.
Sessions are held on

You’re welcome to join us for a potluck-style lunch after worship on Saturday morning. The weekend culminates with a couples banquet. All sessions are free.
*Childcare for newborns to 12 year olds is available during afternoon & evening sessions. Register below for the banquet and/or childcare or contact the church office.
About the Speakers
David is currently a Sr. Research Professor at the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary at Andrews University where he served as Professor of Family Ministry and Discipleship and Chair of the Department of Discipleship in Lifespan Education. He received his master’s and doctorate in Social Work from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He has worked in various settings as a clinician, researcher, teacher, pastor, chaplain, and administrator. His research interests are trauma in pastors with the objective of creating opportunities for healing.
Together with his wife, Beverly, he has written a book entitled Cleansing the Sanctuary of the Heart: Tools for Emotional Healing along with its accompanying workbook. Beverly received her doctorate in nursing practice (DNP) from Andrews University and is soon to retire from her practice as a counseling therapist at University Medical Specialties. She conducts women’s retreats and is a speaker nationally and internationally on topics related to emotional healing and family ministry.
